Stationery Brief

Disney approached us to design fresh, impactful creative materials for their ‘Back to School’ stationery retail program.

Process
In the increasingly competitive BTS market it is becoming vital that product designs are appropriate for, and appeal directly to, their targeted consumer group. In our initial design phase we produced a toolkit, Scarlet Design sourced and art directed revisions to existing character poses, created icons, backgrounds and patterns The second phase of work involved translating the artwork into four presentation boards - each combining the new art and dynamic graphics in contrasting ways. Illustrating how a strong visual theme could be extended effectively across a range of product which would have high impact at retail.

Result
Disney presented the BTS program to major retailers across Europe, and it proved to be a very effective tool. The program resulted in unique product ranges, ensuring Disney brands had a stronger, more co-ordinated visible presence. These designs also inspired licensees to extend the themed artwork into other category sectors resulting in increase sales.
