Girls Circle ‘International Day of Girl’ Senedd Event

Fran with her daughter Romy volunteered their skills to support an inspiring ‘International Day of the Girl’ event at the Senedd on October 13, 2017 with two hundred professionals, parents and carers and young people at the Senedd, the home of the Welsh Government.

Girls Circle founder Nikki Giant shared their vision to “Revolutionise the UK in a generation by uplifting girls and young women”. We created a giant visual map of the presentations including great speakers representing ’The Voices of Girls in Wales’ from Romy’s school Radyr HS. We even had some help from the SW Police Force to help colouring in!

The participants were able to express their huge enthusiasm and ideas on the doodle wall we set up in the upper Senedd area. The maps were the most tweeted and photographed we have had at an event, showing the power of visuals to communicate difficult topics to multi-generation audiences.

As a responsible business we undertake volunteer projects such as this, and hope these maps are useful. You can download low resolution version of these maps below. Please contact us for high resolution files or prints.
